Eutaw is home to over fifty antebellum and Victorian era homes and many are on the National Register. The city is surrounded by two rivers the Tombigbee and the Warrior providing a wealth of hunting and fishing. We have quaint antique and gifts shops to browse and several historic homes are open year round for touring. Other sites of interest nearby are:

May 17-20, 2007…………………….Eutaw’s U.S. 11 Antique Alley Trade Days Antique Alley covers the entire highway from meridian, Mississippi south to Bristol, Tennessee / Virginia to the north – including the stretch that runs through Eutaw. Eutaw’s event includes antiques, flea markets treasures, jewelry, arts and crafts, food vendors, and entertainment, on the Historic Greene County Courthouse Square in Eutaw

August 25-26, 2007 …………………… The Black Belt Folk Roots Festival -An annual event held on the Historic Greene County Courthouse Square in Eutaw on the last weekend in August. Organized by The Society of Folk Arts & Culture, this event is a unique celebration which brings together craft persons, musicians, dancers, storytellers, food specialists, artists, and community workers-all who are considered bearers of the traditions and folkways of the West Alabama region.

September 14-15, 2007 …………………… Alabama Highway 14 Antique Trail- The Alabama Highway 14 Antique Trail traverses the entire state, starting in the east at Valley, Alabama on the Georgia state line, extending over 200 miles to the west at Aliceville / Pickensville, Alabama near the Mississippi state line . From all over the state will come antiques dealers and Arts & Crafts artisans, who will gather in the approximately 24 towns and cities along this highway, to welcome tourists and collectors. Eutaw’s participation will be centered at our Historic Greene County Courthouse Square.

October 13-14, 2007..………The Eutaw Pilgrimage -An annual event held the second weekend in October, sponsored by the Greene County Historical Society. This event features a tour of a selection of Eutaw’s fabled antebellum homes, and churches. Antique shops will be open on the downtown square, where you can also see our historic Courthouse Complex, which is in the process of being restored.

December 8, 2007…………………...The Annual Eutaw Christmas Parade - This holiday event, sponsored by the Eutaw Area Chamber of Commerce is held the first Thursday in December at 2:00 p.m. on the Historic Greene County Courthouse Square. It attracts family, friends, and others from all over West Alabama. After the parade, this event features entertainment and singing of traditional carols.
